A Morning (Afternoon) In Maine

Brandon and I won two tickets for a two hour sail on the Morning in Maine last winter. We finally got to go last Sunday. It felt so great to get out on the water again. I don't get the chance that often so I enjoyed it A LOT.

I was a beautiful day. Warm, sunny, and very windy. They couldn't even raise the main sail because of the wind.

If you look really carefully you can see a butterfly to the right of the first post on the left hand side of the picture. We were pretty far off shore and it fluttered around us for a while.



Like I said it was really windy and I had to brace myself with my feet on the way back into the harbor.

First Day Of School

Last week I sent two of my kids off to school. I still can't believe Audrey is old enough for Kindergarten. She just looks so little to me.

The girls had a great first week (3 days) of school. They both came home exhausted and wearing big smiles on their faces. Audrey even road in her own seat on the bus to school and home again on Friday.

To celebrate starting kindergarten Audrey came down with tummy bug and has been out of school passed out on the couch yesterday and today. She might even miss tomorrow. Poor thing.
