Creativity
I let Anna play with crayons finally. She did great! Afterwards there were only a few crayon marks on the table, a few crayons on the floor, and none eaten!! That is pretty good for a 17 month old I think. Anna always loves to do what her sisters do, so sitting at the table with them and coloring was so much fun for her. The expression on her face when I sat her down in Audrey's booster seat and handed her a crayon was so cute!!!
Audrey is on the verge of discovering just what she can do with markers and crayons. Some days she will just make tons of circles like this picture, but other days she will draw a spider or something like that. It so fun to watch her use her imagination, and then see her put it down on paper.
Abby has figured it out! I was so proud the day she came to me and showed a drawing of a person she had just done. Now look at what she can do. She even writes her name on most drawings. A few days ago she drew a picture of Sasha and Grace and then asked me what letters to write so she could put their names above their pictures. She recognizes most of the alphabet and can write most of them as well.
I am so proud of all three of my girls. It amazes me how much they learn in such a short amount of time. Anna is discovering that she can talk to us now. She doesn't have to scream to get her point across any more, some of the time at least. She is such a happy little girl. Always smiling. She never lets anyone get away with being unfair to her. She lets out a scream that the whole world can here if you try. I guess that's what comes with being the youngest of three kids. Audrey is turning 3 in 5 days. She is no longer my little baby. She doesn't wear diapers at all anymore, is learning how to ride a big girl bike, fills up her own cup of water at the fridge, and can carry on a conversation with you. Abby... is a sweetie, so sensitive, caring, loves to play and always complains that we didn't do anything fun all day. Even if we just got back from doing something fun. I was disappointed that she didn't make the kindergarten cut off date. She would have thrived in the school setting. She loves to be around other kids and loves to learn. We are all settling in at our new home. Life is beginning to take on a new normalcy. We are all making friends and life isn't so hectic anymore. Our new life has begun...
