Fouth of July Parade
It was a lot of work getting to this parade…
We had stayed out late the night before and were not really planning on going. I woke up that morning and decided that the kids would never forgive us if we didn’t go. So we all rushed around and piled in our van. With poor Mike (brother-in-law) stuck on the floor.
We were running late so we wanted to go to the side of town where the end of the parade was. We were nearing our destination when we started to see cars parked along the road. I was not to happy to see this, because it was going to be a long walk and not much time left to get there. Not a good thing when you have 5 kids with you.
We bustled along going fast enough to pass a woman with two young children. Thank goodness I remembered the stroller. We made it to the top of the hill and could see the parade coming way down the street. We had made it. We chugged a ton of water and by the time we had gotten a chance to relax the parade had arrived. The kids loved it!!! Anna plugged her ears a few times especial when the fire trucks went by. I am not sure if it was from the sirens or Bridget (Jen and Mikes dog) howling every time they went off.
